This incredible 1860s Victorian wide bangle bracelet, fashioned of antique gutta percha, is a piece of exquisite mourning jewelry. The front panel is ornately carved with a floral bouquet, each petal and leaf veined with intricate detail. The band is bordered with a thick braid, while through the center of the back band is adorned with a quatrefoil design, the inside featuring a leaf pattern. Truly an outstanding and unique piece from the Civil War era.

Condition: Good antique condition with several pieces of gutta percha missing noted under the clasp and a bead at the front. The bracelet is out of oval although not apparent when wearing.
